Adriatic AWS Innovation Days was a two-day conference held in the city of Opatija; it was organized by AWS and iOLAP with the VMware as the gold sponsor.
Our team was at the conference and checked the most exciting topics from the AWS community.
The event was divided into two sections. Developers & IT Professionals section was focused on solving technical problems with AWS technologies. The executives' section was focused on improving business solutions with AWS services.
A very interesting keynote under the title: 'Innovating as a High-Frequency Enterprise' was held by Mark Schwartz (AWS evangelist). Mark is a part of an expert group in AWS and world-renowned CIO that helps enterprise customers migrate to AWS. In his presentation, Mark talked about innovations that AWS services bring to enterprise environments.
Luka Kladarić (Sekura Collective) held a very interesting presentation under the title: 'The Platform is Dead, Long Live the Platform.' He talked about public-facing APIs and changes in internal platforms for internal toolkits.
'Repsly and AWS: Still in Honeymoon Period?' was a presentation held by Mladen Maravić from Repsly. Year ago, Repsly migrated from IBM Softlayer Cloud to AWS and cut down the operating costs by staggering 40%. Mladen described how Repsly uses cloud-native AWS services to improve the quality of their service.
