REPORT: AWS Re:Invent 2019 Las Vegas

This year's AWS Re:Invent with its 2500 educational sessions and 65000 attendees was the biggest Re:Invent to date. AWS announced a lot of really interesting services that help businesses innovate much faster.

By the keynote from Andy Jassy (AWS CEO), the cloud is still in its early days. Even though migration to the cloud provides many benefits compared to on-premise systems, 97% of companies still spend their money on on-premise infrastructure.

This year, AWS announced a lot of new and exciting services and features that will help companies move to the cloud faster and easier.

Graviton EC2 Instances - M6g, R6g, and C6g

New EC2 instances that offer up to 40% better price-performance for general purpose, compute-intensive, and memory-intensive workloads.

Local zones

New type of AWS infrastructure deployment that place compute, storage, database, and other select services closer to large population, industry, and IT centers, enabling you to deliver applications that require single-digit millisecond latency to end-users.

SageMaker Studio

Amazon SageMaker Studio is the first comprehensive IDE (integrated developer environment) for machine learning. It allows developers to build, train, explain, inspect, monitor, debug, and run their machine learning models from a single interface.

The whole conference was really well organized; it was a great place to learn, have fun, and meet a lot of interesting people from the AWS community.
