Migration Day is a series of AWS-sponsored events aimed at decision-makers and managers facing problems and challenges in the face paced IT environment. Cloud migration changes the approach to infrastructure management, how companies design and deliver software, the whole IT organization, roles, and policies.
Goran Ružić (Sedmi Odjel) made a short intro about Sedmi Odjel and our relationship with AWS.
Our guest lecturer Piotr Boetzel from AWS, presented the AWS platform and discussed the migration process; he finished the presentation with the benefits of MAP (migration acceleration program).
In the end, we presented two case studies. In the first case study Antonio Tokić (Dotmetrics), Marko Pielić (Dotmetrics), and Tomislav Rašeta (Sedmi Odjel) talked about Dotmetrics's expansion to the UK and Australian markets and their challenges during the migration project. In the second case study, Petar Điko (Maistra) and Tomislav Rašeta (Sedmi Odjel) talked about the Maistra project and how we helped them convert their on-premise Edmond system to a SaaS solution.
